Your specialisation

All courses have an integrated view of ICT or Utility Management, and are organised around central subject areas whose development has been identified, by business and employers, as providing the basis for successful management. With a combination of scientific lecturers and business experts, a balance between theoretical knowledge and practical skills is guaranteed.

    Participants can choose the length, the starting date, and the type of their studies. The individual and flexible design of the courses allow participants to have a full-time or part time study programme. All courses are held once a year.

A mix of academic and professional staff is chosen in order to provide the participants with a solid base of theoretical knowledge combined with up-to-date case studies and insights from the industry. The iimt has outstanding instructors, including advisers, researchers, and practitioners drawn from leading Universities, business schools, industry, and government. They bring an enthusiasm and a functional expertise developed over years of experience in their fields to the classroom, together with stimulating real-life perspectives and insights.

  • Practical Information & Admission

    English is the sole language of instruction. Participants therefore require knowledge of that language.

    The modules are organised during the week (Tuesday to Wednesday / Thursday to Friday). Half of the class time is devoted to the acquisition of new knowledge in the subject area concerned, while the remaining time is allocated to practical work and case studies.

    Each of the 7 modules is followed by a written or oral examination. Oral examinations are taking place during the course module. Written examinations are taking place on Monday afternoon before the subsequent course block starts (e.g. visit course module in January, examination in March). For the exact course dates, please refer to the timetable. By completing an Executive CAS, students receive 22.5 ECTS-Credits including the internationally recognised Executive CAS in ICT or Utility Management (Project Excellence) of the University of Fribourg.

    Candidates for the CAS require at least two years’ professional experience in a management position and to have obtained a licence (Bachelor/Master) recognised from a University or University of Applied Sciences or other diploma recognised as equivalent (or may be admitted “sur dossier”).
