Digital Slavery !

Software engineers grow a software until the code base gets big enough to stroke back:

The digital enterprise becomes a slave of the own software. When I look around, I expect an age of digital slavery to come soon. The root cause of this thread goes far beyond a CIO agenda and it has actually nothing to do with IT technology. I suggest a surprisingly simple but highly systemic management approach for those digital enterprises who choose not to get enslaved.

Join our next iimt Masterclass and dicuss the topic with other professionals attending.

What our students said

Mathias Büschi - Executive CAS in ICT Management 2017

Encouraged by my colleagues, friends and family, I decided to undertake a new training in order to broaden my professional horizon. The CAS of Management of the international institute of management in technology (iimt) was the perfect choice for me in regard of the excellent reputation of the University of Fribourg.

This CAS has brought me more than I expected. It has enlarged my network in the IT field by having authentic and valuable exchanges with the classmates, the lecturers and the professors. Beside this, the courses were always a perfect balance of theory and practical work. At the end of each course, concrete take-aways and conclusions from our own work context were drawn and enabled me to identify and apply improvements in my work area.

It has all started by a need and a thirst for new knowledge and at the end it was an enriching and fascinating journey.

Open Doors NeighborHub 10th June 2017

The NeighborHub will open its doors to the general public on Saturday 10 June, from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on the site of the smart living lab where it was built.

The NeighborHub, a solar-powered house that was entirely designed and built by students, will soon be ready for transport to the United States for the international Solar Decathlon 2017, which will be held in October. Before it begins its long journey across the ocean, the NeighborHub will open its doors to you. The students involved in the project will take you and your family on a guided tour, which will include interactive activities relating to such topics as energy, mobility, materials, biodiversity, food, waste management and water management.
