On the occasion of the participation in the IEEE Smart City Conference in December 2015, Prof. Dr. Teufel visited The University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) and the editors of the Journal of Electronic Science and Technology (JEST). UESTC is situated in Chengdu and is one of Chinas key multidisciplinary university doing research in the fields of electronic science and technology, engineering and Management. In various talks further cooperation opportunities between UESTC and iimt were explored.
The international IEEE Smart City 2015 Conference was held in Chengdu, China, between the 19th and the 21st of December 2015. The symposium brought together computer scientists, industrial engineers and researchers to discuss and exchange experimental and theoretical results, novel designs, work-in-progress, experience, case studies, and trend-setting ideas in the area of smart city. Prof. Dr. Teufel highlighted security considerations by her presentation “Crowd Energy Information Security Culture - Security Guidelines for Smart Environments”.
At the seventh International Conference on Economics and Management of Networks the iimt presented the paper “Social Media Marketing – Performance Measurement Considerations”. The conference took place in cooperation with the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences (EMS), University of the Western, from the 3rd to the 5th of December 2015, in Cape Town, South Africa. The purpose of the conference is to provide an international discussion forum for research in economics and management of networks. Theoretical, conceptual and empirical papers from all areas in economics and management of franchising, cooperatives, strategic alliances, virtual networks and other hybrids were invited. The first step of the transformation of the blueFACTORY's site (former Cardinal brewery) is now completed with the inauguration of the "Halle bleue" which took place on the 11th of December.
