enersis and the iimt of the University of Fribourg will, in consideration of the energy turnaround, closely cooperate in the coming years. Energy issues and the associated challenges will be analysed in this partnership and synergies exploited to present innovative solutions for the future.
Efficiency, consistency, sufficiency - these are the three strategies that private persons, economy and public authorities can follow to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
Prof. Dr. Kerstin Alfes, iimt lecturer for HR Management since many years, has provided with her doctoral thesis (“Einfluss der Kompetenzen von Personalverantwortlichen auf die strategische Rolle der Personalabteilung“ – ISBN 978-3-86618-322-3) a valuable basis in the field of HR. Her outstanding achievement is honored with the HR Swiss Award.
This thesis illuminates the competences of HR managers in the German-speaking part of Switzerland and demonstrates at the same time, where through personal development measures, competences have to be improved (e. g.: in the understanding of the business processes and in participation of the strategy development).
The 26th of March 2015 the yearly business ideas@Fribourg-Event took place at the School of Engineering and Architecture (HEIA). This event was organised in cooperation with the Innovation Club.
Besides the presentation of two successful local entrepreneurs in the field of „Sports Technology“, the Pitching-Contest for students took place. Jedidja Inhelder, fellow of ideas@iimt (Pre-Incubator for innovative and new business ideas of the iimt – University of Fribourg), participated in the contest with his business idea „MyCity“ and won the contest.
The iimt offers its students the possibility to realise their own (business) ideas. Students can receive a working place, time, resources, coaching and a network with competent partners and coaches to develop and create their own ideas.
The idea behind this “pre-incubator” is to boost business ideas to a game changing business concept.
